New Annual General Meeting Date  

The TSSA Annual General Meeting is now scheduled for Saturday Feb. 20, 2010. The meeting will take place at the Marriott Cool Springs located in Franklin, TN. We would ask that your association please RSVP by February 10, 2010 to Jennifer at the State Office. She can be reached for RSVP or any other questions at jennifer@tnsoccer.org.

United State Soccer Federation grievance proceeding ends with a favorable ruling for US Youth Soccer and its State Associations

As most of you know, on August 17, 2009, US Club Soccer, along with AYSO and 3 member clubs of US Club Soccer, filed a grievance with the United State Soccer Federation against US Youth Soccer, the Minnesota Youth Soccer Assocation, the North Dakota Youth Soccer Assocation, the South Carolina Youth Soccer Association, the Tennessee State Soccer Association and the Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association. The grievance alleged that US Youth Soccer and the 5 State Associations had violated their duties as members of the Federation and were in violation of several Federation bylaws, rules and policies. Murfreesboro, TN and TSSA to host 2010 US Youth Soccer National Presidents Cup

Frisco, Texas (Dec. 16, 2009)- US Youth Soccer announces Murfreesboro, TN as host of the 2010 US Youth Soccer National Presidents Cup, which is the culminating event for US Youth Soccer teams who have advanced from the state to regional to National Presidents Cup level, to be held July 8-11, at Richard Siegel Soccer Complex. Tennessee State Soccer Association Loses an Original Member

On 21 December, 2009, our referee commuity lost a dear friend and person who was instrumental in developing soccer in Tennessee and United State Soccer Federation. That person was Anthony P. Stanley. To read more click here

2010 TSSA Annual General Meeting

The Tennessee State Soccer Association's Annual General Meeting is scheduled for Saturday, January 30, 2010 at the Embassy Suites-Cool Springs in Franklin, TN.  Early registration will commence on Friday evening from 6 pm until 8 pm.  Registration will continue at 7 am Saturday morning until meetings begin at 8:30 am. There will be breakout sessions for recreational, competitive, coaching, district meetings, and referees. If interested in attending please contact Jennifer Lackey by phone (615-590-2200) or email

At the Region III Fall Meetings in Baton Rouge, LA, TN Soccer was awarded the 2011 Southern Regional event tobe held June 15-22, 2011 at Richard Siegel Soccer Park in Murfreesboro, TN.

Tennessee State Soccer Association to Host National Youth License

Travel Permit Changes and Academy Game Check-In Requirements

We have eliminated the $10.00 fee for Travel Permits, they are still required to travel out of state, but no longer have a fee. Academy Game Check-In requirements can be found here, rosters are not needed for friendlies, scrimmages or festival games.
